Your best is all you can do.

Your best is all you can do.

It’s the last day of November, and the year is quickly coming to a close. Honestly, I’m not that mad about it.

As my planning for the end of the year and the beginning of next takes up more and more time, I can’t help but think of what I didn’t accomplish this year. 😬

And I take a moment to remind myself (and also you) that all we can ever do is our best.

And “our best” doesn’t look the same year to year, month to month or day to day.

In fact, some days (like two days ago for me), our best looks a lot like mental cursing and complaining and cajoling ourselves to accomplish ONE THING in a day.

That’s OK.

Our best effort is not always our best result.

I held up pretty well through this past year. Then, I hit a period of barely getting the bare minimum done. It was frustrating and depressing.

Lately, I’ve been on-track, getting things done like I did BP (before pandemic), and I’m thrilled.

Yeah, I think about how the past year or so has been hard, and what I COULD have done if my best had been better…But overall, I know that I did what I could, AND I KEPT GOING.

And that’s good enough.

What are your thoughts?

Do you give your best everyday? Is it frustrating when your best doesn’t measure up to what you think it should be?

It’s OK. That’s good enough.

You hear? It 👏 is 👏 good 👏 enough.👏

(Was that too aggressive? 😂 )

I say no. Because emotions in my mind are simply feedback. They are not good or bad. They simply are. They are information. And like
