For some reason, when I sat down to write about this holiday today, the movie Bowfinger popped into my head.

I only remember it vaguely, and remember is was both funny and atrociously bad. It starred Eddie Murphy, and throughout the movie he said:

K.I.T. Keep it together.

I feel like saying “I am in control” is pretty much the same thing. More of a mantra than a statement.

However, that said, it could be a fun holiday to celebrate with your partner, especially if you’re in a power dynamic. Or maybe especially if you’re not.
