May is Masturbation Month!

May is Masturbation Month!

I’m kind of weird.

I don’t like masturbation.

It’s not my jam. I’ve tried it. A lot of different ways. Dozens of toys, situations, techniques, whatever.

I can get myself off. An orgasm is easy. But it’s not fulfilling to me.

It’s a physical release only.

Which I don’t knock. After all, there are times when it’s just what I need to turn my brain off. About 3 minutes of DJ-ing, a burst of pleasure followed by full relaxation, and ZZZZs all the way.

But, like I said, I’m weird.

MOST of the people I know LOVE masturbation. And for good reason. There are so many benefits to masturbation:

•For those with prostates who are not having regular sex, it helps reduce the risk of prostate cancer.

•Orgasms (in general, including with masturbation) boosts immunity.

•Masturbation helps you relax and fall asleep (my primary use case).

•It helps you know your own body and ways of being pleasured better (I did use it for this when I was younger).

•Orgasms (in general, including with masturbation) increase your libido.

•Orgasms (in general, including with masturbation) improve mood.

•Orgasms (in general, including with masturbation) deliver oxygen to your brain (which it REALLY likes).

•Orgasms (in general, including with masturbation) help relieve pain.

•Orgasms (in general, including with masturbation) can strengthen your pelvic floor muscles, this helps with erections, stronger orgasms, and continence.

•Masturbation leads to feelings of empowerment and confidence.

•Orgasms (in general, including with masturbation) increase blood flow.

So, yeah. If you enjoy (or think you might enjoy) masturbation, then why not take this opportunity to celebrate and get a bit of self-play and self-love on the books?

  1. For me, I am just so sick and tired of masterbation, because I have been alone for such a long time. Have not had a relationship or sex in many years, due to not being able to find a partner. So for me it’s a necessity just for release when I get horny, but it is not satisfying at all. I feel so empty because it’s been since 2010 before my fiance died the last time I had sex with anyone male or female. Yes I am bisexual and would welcome either gender just to be able to have a good time and have some good sex.
