What is fetish wear?

Ask this question of 100 people, and you will probably get 112 answers.

Because fetish wear can mean different things to different people.

For some, it’s all black, with a few carabiners attaching their paddles or floggers to their belt loops.

For others it might be leather gear, a full body suit of spandex, a tightly laced corset, an outfit of latex, or a fursona.

Fetish wear is what YOU wear to express your kinks and your sexuality—or your alter-ego from the vanilla side you display most days, if you will. It shows off what you find compelling and feel sexy or free in.

Of course, some events have dress codes, which might be a bit more restrictive.

Many will say, “All black IS NOT fetish wear.”

Some might require “pink bits must be covered.”

In cases where fetish wear is required, make sure to read the details or ask what the organizers are considering fetish wear, so you can be sure to follow the guidelines.

After all, many places will not let you through the door if you’re not fully dressed, and some will charge more ($20+) for those not “fetish” enough.

All in all, what is fetish to one might be subjective to another.
